UTP Oversight Committee

As part of the current UTP program funded by a federal Teacher Quality Enhancement grant, the Oversight Committee helps to ensure that project activities are aligned with district- and city-wide initiatives. This committee holds the program staff and participants accountable for addressing the overall goals and objectives of UTP, the use of resources, and implementation of activities that meet the needs of teachers and children in the Zone partner schools. A new Oversight Committee will be formed prior to launch of the Center for Urban Education in fall 2010.

The current UTP Oversight Committee is comprised of the grant principal investigator and program co-directors (representing Metro state College and Denver Public Schools), the deans of MSCD's School of Professional Studies and Letters Arts and Sciences, the executive director of the Denver Mayor's Office for Education and Children, the senior researcher from Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning (McREL), along with other MSCD and DPS administrators.
